Welcome to SilverandBlueSports.com - the first and only University of Nevada media-credentialed independent website dedicated to covering just the Wolf Pack. Though our initial coverage will feature only the Wolf Pack football and basketball teams, plus the future of each squad via the school's recruiting efforts, we hope to launch more coverage of other Wolf Pack programs as we grow.
SilverandBlueSports.com is a joint effort by the popular Reno-based owners of Silver and Blue Outfitters, Mark Glodowski and Brad Platt, and former Rivals.com publisher, A.W. Prince.
Why did we create SilverandBlueSports.com?
There are multiple reasons why SilverandBlueSports.com was opened. The list would be too long to explain every detail. However, the principle reason is that for years, numerous Nevada student-athletes have been recruited to play for the Pack without even a sniff of media coverage. The faithful fans of Reno have never been given the opportunity to identify with prep and JC-prospects before their arrival. Therefore, in order to cover those individuals thoroughly, there had to be a website that was designed specifically for Nevada recruiting.
Of course, our coverage extends past that. The staff of SilverandBlueSports.com will detail the current Wolf Pack teams, with practice reports and video features on various players. There will be numerous links to reports by this site, as well as other media reports locally and nationally. Just as Brad and Mark's former site - WolfPackChat.com - allowed, SilverandBlueSports.com will continue to allow registered fans to gather in our Premium and Non-Premium message boards to discuss Wolf Pack sports. For fans that have typed WolfPackChat.com in to their web browsers, you are simply being redirected to this new and improved independent site.
Who runs SilverandBlueSports.com?
The content on SilverandBlueSports.com will be gathered and published by myself, A.W. Prince, and my staff. Just as they did with WolfPackChat.com, both Mark and Brad will be administrators and active participants on the site's forums. However, with the opening of the inagural Silver and Blue Outfitters store in the Meadowland Mall, plus other obligations, Mark and Brad felt that it was critical to bring a dedicated publisher on board who possessed a background in recruiting and team coverage.
As the publisher of SilverandBlueSports.com, those are my goals. As always, I welcome all comments and suggestions. Fans will see a number of extremely creative and innovative photography and video features, plus informative articles and highlight reels of future prospects. I only ask fans to be patient; new sites need time to develop. Your support from the beginning will not be forgotten.
Lastly, I want to personally thank the coaches, fans, and administrators of the University of Nevada for their consistent support over the past 6 months prior to our launch.
