Nevada-San Jose State Predictor Contest - FREE

With the Nevada vs. San Jose State football game less than a week away, it is time to announce the ninth 2009 SilverandBlueSports.com Football Predictor Contest.  In this competition, fans are challenged to not only pick the winner of the game, but to see if they can predict the exact score.

Think you can nail the final score of the game?

During both the 2008 and 2009 season (to date), not one entry got the score exactly right for any of our contests. In our eight previous contests this year, the closest prediction has been 3 points - the farthest 41 points. Once again, predicting the winner and correct score is going to be tough this week. Nevada brings in one of the most explosive offenses' in the country, while San Jose State has typically had strong WAC defenses.  However, Nevada has not played terrific on the road yet this year while the Spartans have a 1-6 record, plus zero D-1 wins.

So can you predict the final score?

The overall winner (which is who predicts the game as closely as possible, meaning both the correct winner and the final score) will receive a 18x24 poster of one of the most unique Nevada football memorabilia items ever produced; the 2009 Nevada Recruiting Album presented by SilverandBlueSports.com. This was an extremely limited album, with only Nevada Blitz members receiving it, and the Posters will be even more limited.  Making it an even bigger bonus will be Hall of Fame Nevada head coach Chris Ault's signature on the posters.

The Video Presentation of the Album displays it perfectly – a photo guide of the entire group of Pack newcomers.  And with the front page poster at this size, fans can make it out every deal of future Wolf Pack stars. It is mostly definitely something you will want to frame. From impact freshman like Duke Williams and Army All-American Chris Metcalf, plus wide receivers L.J. Washington and Chili McCauley, to exciting JUCO additions like Moe Patterson, Ricky Drake and Cory Smith.

What did the Nevada football staff think about the album?

“This is an extraordinary document," Nevada head coach Chris Ault said.  “It is extremely well done, and while I didn't think you could top last year's, you did it. Phenomenal work."
